Dialbrew vs Instantly
Instantly is a volume-and-deliverability engine. Dialbrew is the accounting and accountability layer for the work that engine generates.
This is a category-level comparison. We describe what each kind of tool is designed to do rather than claiming specific feature gaps, because we have not audited Instantly's current feature set. Check their documentation for specifics, and treat our own claims as describing Dialbrew only.
Volume at the top, truth at the bottom
Instantly is built for cold email at scale: sending infrastructure, mailbox rotation, warmup and deliverability management. Its centre of gravity is getting a large volume of mail delivered and answered.
Dialbrew has no sending engine and is not trying to build one. It is the layer that makes sense of what the volume produced — per client, per rep, per booking, in money.
These are complementary in the most literal sense: one creates pipeline activity, the other converts that activity into a defensible record of who did what and what it is worth.
Why volume makes the operations problem worse
The more top-of-funnel volume you run, the more acute the downstream problems get:
| Volume creates | Dialbrew’s answer |
|---|---|
| Duplicate work across reps on the same company | Lead reservation — a soft lock with an expiry, plus a cleanup job for stale holds |
| Dirty phone and contact data | E.164 normalisation and dedup at import, phone-quality status recomputed over time |
| Compliance exposure across many clients | Per-client DNC lists filtered at import; GDPR retention and right-to-be-forgotten procedures documented |
| Lists silently running dry | Lead-list depletion alerting per client project |
| Many bookings, uncertain outcomes | Held / no-show / no-show-with-reschedule as distinct recorded states |
| Many commissionable events to reconcile | One commission row per booking, enforced by a unique database constraint |
| Clients asking what they got | A client portal showing their own meetings, reports and billing |
The deliverability point we will not make
We are not going to claim anything about Instantly’s deliverability, warmup or sending performance — we have not tested it, and a comparison page is a bad place to guess. If sending infrastructure is your evaluation criterion, evaluate it on its own terms.
What we will say is that sending performance and operational truth are different problems, and solving one does not solve the other. A perfectly deliverable campaign still leaves you reconciling commission against invoices in a spreadsheet at month end.
Who should pick which
Choose a volume sending platform if your bottleneck is getting mail delivered and answered.
Choose Dialbrew if your bottleneck is what happens after a meeting is booked across multiple clients — attribution, outcomes, commission, invoicing and client-facing reporting. Then run both.
